OUR HISTORY

The Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture was established on April 18 2019, pursuant to the provisions of Articles 30 and 158 of the Additional Provisions of Law No. 2809 dated March 28, 1983, and its establishment was announced in the Official Gazette, Issue No. 30749, Decision No. 968. The Faculty began offering undergraduate education in the Department of Performing Arts and the Department of Visual Communication Design in the 2020-2021 academic year, and in the Department of Music in the 2021-2022 academic year. In the 2023-2024 academic year, the Painting Department and the Radio, Television, and Cinema Department began accepting students and offering education. In addition, at our University's Graduate School, the Communication Sciences graduate program affiliated with our Faculty's Visual Communication Design Department began in the 2022-2023 academic year, and the Music graduate program affiliated with the Music Department began in the 2023-2024 academic year. In the 2024-2025 academic year, the Interior Architecture Department and Industrial Design Department were opened. In the 2024-2025 academic year, the Interior Architecture Department began offering undergraduate education. The Industrial Design Department has not yet started accepting students.
