An orientation and introductory meeting was held for first-year students starting the 2025-2026 academic year at the Faculty of Art, Design, and Architecture (STMF). The meeting, held in the STMF Kenan Işık Amphitheater, was attended by Dean Prof. Dr. Ersan Çiftci, the dean's assistants, academic and administrative staff, and students.Prior to the meeting, Clinical Psychologist Menekşe Baloğlu from the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Application and Research Center gave a seminar to students titled “Meeting Emotions with Compassion.” Students who attended the seminar gained important information about coping with emotions during the adaptation process to university life.Then, STMF Dean Prof. Dr. Ersan Çitfci gave the opening speech. In his speech, Çitfci drew attention to the rapidly growing and developing structure of the faculty and said: "We are a faculty that is rapidly developing and continuing to grow. We are the university's showcase faculty. We are a busy faculty with concerts, exhibitions, theater plays, performances, and talks. We will gain fresh energy with you and achieve even more beautiful successes and events. Welcome to our faculty."Associate Dean and Head of the Interior Architecture Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Doğan, provided students with information about administrative procedures and conveyed her best wishes for the new academic year. Associate Professor Ferdi Karaönçel, Head of the Music Department and Vice Dean, provided information about the education and training processes, offering detailed information on important topics such as guidelines, regulations, curriculum, courses, exams, and absences related to the university and the department.At the end of the meeting, Faculty Secretary and Music Department faculty member Lecturer Harun Barış shared information with students about the general functioning of the faculty.
