“Illustration and Photography Exhibition” at our faculty

Our faculty hosted the “Illustration and Photography Exhibition from Imagination to Digital” on February 25, 2025. The works produced by the 2nd year students of the Department of Visual Communication Design within the scope of Illustration, Studio and Digital Photography courses met with art lovers. Assist. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kaya and Assist. Assist. Prof. Dr. Ersan Çiftci, Dean of the Faculty, Associate Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ferdi Karaönçel, Head of Visual Communication Design Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emrah Arğın, faculty members opened the exhibition. Prof. Dr. Çiftci said in his speech about the exhibition; “The Photography and Illustration Exhibition of the Department of Visual Communication Design of our faculty was prepared with intense labor and meticulousness. I sincerely congratulate our esteemed professors, especially the head of the department, and all our students who contributed. We had the opportunity to discover different details in terms of perspective in the photography works. In technical and aesthetic terms, impressive shots of the texture of the city were captured. In illustration works, original and creative works from book covers to pattern designs are included in the exhibition.” In the exhibition, which aims to increase students' self-confidence and contribute to their artistic development by exhibiting the competencies they have gained in the courses, students produced original works by addressing different themes. The exhibition will be open to visitors for three days.
