On the final day of the Spring Festival organized by Malatya Turgut Özal University (MTÜ) between May 5 and 8, 2025, the Turkish Folk Music Ensemble of the Faculty of Arts, Design, and Architecture (STMF) Music Department took the stage and presented the audience with a musical feast filled with traditional melodies.
The concert, which took place on Friday, May 8, at 3:00 p.m. at the MTÜ Battalgazi Campus, was directed by STMF Music Department faculty member Lecturer Harun Barış, with two talented soloists, Sevilay Yıldırım and Ebubekir Demir, taking the stage. The ensemble, which stood out for its rich repertoire and harmonious performance on stage, included Taner Dönmez on the bağlama, Mertali Keklik on wind instruments, Yusuf Eliş on electric guitar, Hulusi Önat on keyboard, Emre Arslan on drums, and Efe Yıldırım and Mert Aydoğmuş on percussion. Throughout the concert, folk dances, Roman music, and halay dances from various regions of Anatolia were performed on stage, with the audience both listening and joining in.
