In partnership with the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, a “Seminar on the Origin of the State System ‘ARSLANTEPE’” and a “Technical Trip to the Arslantepe Excavation Site” were organized. On October 16, 2024, first-year students from the Department of Interior Architecture, Department of History and Department of Conservation and Repair of Cultural Heritage participated in the technical trip.
On October 16, 2024, “The Origin of the State System: Arslantepe and UNESCO World Cultural Heritage”, scheduled for October 16, 2024, was postponed due to the Kale (Malatya) earthquake. The event was held on October 22, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Yeşilyurt Vocational School Conference Hall. Dr. Varlık İNDERE, Deputy Head of Arslantepe Excavation, shared his experiences and knowledge about the archaeological site on the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Doğan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Özyürek and Lecturer Mevlüt Anıl Fidan were instrumental in organizing the seminar. Prof. Dr. Mevlüt Anıl Fidan made significant contributions.
