Master - Student Meeting on “Development of Local Media and Its Impact on Democracy” was Organized

Malatya Turgut Özal University, Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, Radio, Television and Cinema Department coordinated a conversation on “Development of Local Media and Its Impact on Democracy”.
Malatya Radiocular Association President and Radio Huzur, Radio Fırat and Dost FM Chairman Sinan CAVLAK took part in the meeting as a speaker. Radio, Television and Cinema Department faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vefalı ENSER and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mevlüde BATUR and students attended the meeting.
Talking about the historical background and development stages of Malatya local media, CAVLAK talked about the importance of the role of local radio and television in forming public opinion and the problems faced by local journalism. He emphasized the importance of local media as one of the main elements of the consolidation of democracy and gave examples of historical events in this context.
During the interview, which lasted approximately two hours, CAVLAK answered the questions of the students and gave them important advice about the sector.
